Tour Station

The train station in Tours is magnificent, and a credit to the city. It is a terminating station, and takes advantage of this with a large glass facade and entrance hall, opening up onto a small garden park. The park is clever – it has a large fountain over a glazed ‘sculpture’, which is actually the roof of the underground carpark, allowing light in.

The station has tiled panels, showing the places you can travel to. They are mounted on the piers.

Don’t these panels just sum up a French holiday?
