Architecture and Ceramics

all we hear is radio silence

I’ve been working on lots of interesting and challenging projects over the past few months, including a planning application for Shrubhill on Leith Walk in Edinburgh. It’s a really interesting site, hopefully the colonies style housing proposed will win planning approval and the site can be sold to a developer. It’s a great city centre site, with listed tram sheds at the west end, and a fantastic opportunity to fill in that gap on Leith Walk with a commercial element.

Below is a part of the existing facade. It’s been a really interesting project to work on, lots of elements that we’ve brought together. When I worked from another office i was part of a planning application for the adjacent site, so I knew the area well. Unfortunately it’s a pile of rubble at the moment, despite being a prime location.

In other news, I’ve been working on some Venn diagrams. Here is one inspired by a brilliant thing that exists; Star Wars Lego Sticker Books.
